I started Wild in Africa Expedition in 2003 after working for a variety of different companies, doing a variety of different tours. Dealing with a variety of different clientele, I experienced first hand the expectations the international traveller had and all the fantastic destinations that where being missed due to vehicle limitations. I decided to start filling a niche in the market and open up a whole new era of touring in Africa. For those as adventurous and eager to explore the great wilds as I, this type of holiday is for you.
Why Wild in Africa?: Wild in Africa is an expedition company that offers a variety of styles in tours through Africa. We offer Camping, Diving, Lodge and Tailor Made Expeditions. The tours are structured to include the best and wildest spots on land or in the ocean. The Vehicle, Equipment and Guides are up to the challenge and promise to add to an unforgettable experience and memories that will last life time. With a small group of friends or acquaintances we can go to areas that are simply inaccessible to other tour operators due to our 4 wheel drive vehicle. Our itineraries are constructed to include magnificent and activity packed destinations with the best service and points of interest. We have researched these itineraries through extensive experience from previous tours. With an open mind, positive attitude and flexibility the dark continent awaits.
What's Included:All Visas excluding those at port of entry, 2 meals a day (breakfast & dinner), 4x4 Vehicle, Driver /Guide, Activities and Excursions as stated in itineraries, Game Drives, Park Entrance fees, Accommodation (camping/chalet/lodge/hotel) as stated in the itinerary. Camping Expeditions: Camping Equipment. Diving Expeditions: Air Fills, Tank and Weight Belt
What's NOT included:Flights, Lunch, Optional Adventure Activities, Port of Entry Visa, Personal Expenses and Beverages Camping Expeditions: Mattresses, Sleeping Bag and Pillow. Diving Expeditions: Diving Equipment where and as mentioned
Our Crew:The Guides taking you out on your expedition are trained and qualified professionals with extensive experience of the areas stated in the itinerary and limited mechanical experience. They will cook, guide and drive showing you a rarely seen before Africa. They aim to take care of you and provide you with experience of a life time on land or in the water.
Our Vehicle:There is pretty much no-where where we can't go. We run in a five seater 4, 2 litre diesel Toyota Landcruiser with Air Conditioning, Long Range Tank, Duel Battery System, Old Emu Suspension, Roof Rack, Extra Diesel, Water Tank and Fridge. To carry all our equipment we have a 4x4 Trailer with Roof Rack for all those curios and extras
Our Equipment: Camping Expeditions: All the equipment is durable and made to last through all conditions and environments. Tents are thick, canvas, 3 man tents for 2 people with sufficient space for luggage inside. We cook mostly on gas and fire with gas lanterns or candle (wind permitting) illuminating our nights. An outdoor shower is provided for those times that don't provide the luxury. No better feeling than showering in the open bush. Canvas in case of rainy nights and all the necessary Kitchen Utensils. Diving Expeditions: We do not rent out Diving Equipment this will be obtainable from the Dive Centres along the way at own Expense. Lodge Expeditions: We often cook ourselves over the camp fire or on the gas stove where all the equipment is provided for.
