Malawi

MalawiThis small strip of land, which 1/3 is covered by one of the great lakes of Africa. Lake Malawi was explored by David Livingstone and a mission established on the north western shores to aid in the abolishment of the slave trade. The Lake offers many activities such as diving, snorkeling, catamaraning, boating, fishing and Horse Riding. Their national parks boast the big five and have some of the highest leopard concentrations in Africa. One of the greatest National Heritage sites enjoyed on the southern tip of the lake promises a fantastic warm tropical climate, interesting wildlife and a wonderful beach setting. The people are friendly and inviting and create some of the most wonderful carvings found in Africa. The mountains are filled with tea plantations, blue gum and rubber trees. Adding to this great scenic beauty.
