LesothoThis incredible country ruled by King Letsedi is a kingdom composed of majestic sandstone massifs. In the east the famous Drankensberg mountain rage is shared with South Africa crossable by the scenically grand Sani pass. Hiking, off roading, abseiling, rafting, pony trekking and rock climbing are only a few of the fantastic activities on offer from a number of lodges in Lesotho. Occasionally snow capped the mountains never loose their luster and each season shows a new face. The culture and people of the land have remained traditional and the children's smiles and waves will invite you into a very African environment. The Basotho people have built a nation against incredible odds, imperialism and tribal conflict. This mountainous beauty, rich cultural history and art, of which the original inhabitants, Bushmen, have left their story behind in many caves and rock faces in the sandstone cliffs of these great ranges.
